What are the solutions offered by Delta Display Solutions for the Railways and Metro Sector?

Tell us about some of the Railways and Metro Sector Projects executed by Delta Display Solutions. What was the scope of Work and what was the most critical factor according to you that helped you in securing these orders?

Delta has a strong footing in the Railway industry owing to its innovative display solutions for monitoring operations. Delta has executed some of the most prestigious projects across world including the world’s biggest video wall for a railway control room in China. Talking about India, we have made a strong presence in the Metro-rail industry, having installed video wall solutions in most of the Metros, including Bangalore Metro, Delhi Metro, Lucknow Metro, Greater-Noida Metro, Nagpur Metro to name a few. A recent video wall that we installed is over 110sqm for a dedicated freight corridor control room to be launched soon.

What is your market share for Display Products in Railway and Metro Sectors?

When we entered the Railway market, there was a lot of apprehension in accepting Delta as a display solutions provider for control rooms. And of course, our competition who was very strong in this segment, left no stones unturned to create hurdles for us. But owing to the efforts of our team, we managed to gain a decent foothold in initial days and today we can proudly say, if any Railway or metro buys video walls or active LED walls, Delta is a definite consideration. Majority of the video wall in Metro control rooms have been set-up by Delta in the past 3-4 years. And similar figures for railways segment as well. A much faster growth rate is being projected for Delta in the coming time with a plethora of new projects lined up in this sector.

What are the other sectors you target for Display Solutions apart from the Railways and Metro Sectors and what percentage of your revenue is from Railways and Metro Segment?

Apart from Railways and Metro sector, our display solutions are suited for every control room and non-control room applications. Whether it’s distribution of electricity, refining of petrochemicals, surveillance of city streets, supervising of traffic or managing a major disaster, control rooms are need-of-the-hour for every vertical and Delta has been frontrunner as we have equipped over 1000 control rooms with DLP® Video walls and control systems.

The non-control room segment also a vast segment. To name some focussed sectors, we have installed LED Displays in showrooms, shopping malls, museums, corporate and educational auditoriums, outdoor public information displays and stadiums.

What are the product differentiators that makes Delta Display Solutions a preferred brand over the other products available in the market?

With 8 Mega pixel display, the UHD Laser Video Wall gives remarkable content clarity, and is ideal for current and expanding requirements of large scale visualization systems. What could be monitored on 64 Full HD Video Walls, can now be monitored on 16 4K video walls only.

Another factor that sets us apart from our competitors are the controllers that are manufactured by Delta. With the help of Video Wall Controllers, the operators are able to capture, display and manage varied sources on the Video Wall. The controllers are flexible enough to display local applications, network-streamed desktops, and direct connected DVI, RGB and video inputs – anywhere, and of any size on the wall, for all 24×7 operations.

There is a huge surge in Metro Rail Project Investments planned by the government with many new lines scheduled to be commissioned by the end of FY 20-21. How do you plan to capitalize on the opportunity?

With the number of installations across India, Delta has already proven its technology dominance in Metro and railway industry. We are very well placed in new projects which are coming up in FY 20-21 and we should be the supplier of choice as we have a phenomenal track record in Metros where our products have been found to be extremely reliable.
